Dr. Hach is an assistant professor in department of Urologic Sciences at University of British Columbia and Senior Research Scientist at Vancouver Prostate Centre. In 2013 he received his PhD in Computing Science from Simon Fraser University. Dr. Hach is the recepient of Ian Lawson Van Toch Memorial Award for outstanding student paper at the 20th Annual International Conference on Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology (ISMB2012) - see coverage here. He is also recepient of the Governor General's Gold Medal for the best doctoral thesis award from Simon Fraser University in 2014 - see coverage here and here. In 2020, Dr. Hach received Michael Smith Health Research BC Scholar Award.
